The TJ Class of 1982 Scholarship was created in 2022 by an anonymous donor from the graduating class of 1982 to honor the theatre teachers who engaged this high school student in the TJ Theatre Program.

The Class of 1982 alum stated that this program imparted “great lessons” through a collaborative arts approach. “Our theatre team learned how to work under pressure, become coachable, utilize diversity and inclusion, meet deadlines, speak with confidence, respect one another, problem solve as a team, and push to reach one’s full potential. After reflecting now about the education, I received 40 years ago, I wanted to do something to ‘pay it forward.’”

This scholarship will award $1,982 on behalf of the TJ Class of 1982 to a graduating senior who loves the arts and wants to study an arts-related major in college (with some preference given to theatre majors, but not exclusively).
